    Paul Hamilton (Buzzy) Jeter III

    Paul Hamilton Jeter, III, age 73, was welcomed into his heavenly home July 8, 2018.  He was born in Rock Hill, SC.  He was the son of Paul and Evelyn Jeter and grew up in Union, SC.  He earned the rank of Eagle Scout while in high school and graduated from the University of South Carolina in 1967. 

    Mr. Jeter began his career as a teacher and guidance counselor at Alcorn Middle School.  In 1974, he became assistant principal at Oak Grove Elementary School in Lexington, SC and remained there until his retirement in 1997.  Mr. Jeter enjoyed a lifelong hobby as a collector and dealer of antiques, specializing in South Carolina pottery, bottles, and postcards.  He co-authored Columbia’s Past in Glass in 1976 and authored SC Beverage Bottles 1880 - 1980 in 1986.  

  • Christopher Wilson Jeter

    Funeral Services for Mr. Christopher W. Jeter, 53, who entered into rest April 19, 2018, will be conducted Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock from Grace United Methodist Church. Reverend James D. Dennis, Jr., officiating. Interment in Pineview Memorial Gardens.

    Mr. Jeter was a life-long resident of North Augusta. He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, attended Clemson University and was the owner of CSRA Analytical Laboratories. Mr. Jeter was predeceased by his mother, Arlis D. Jeter.

    Survivors include his son, Christopher Brantlee Jeter, North Augusta; father, Clarence C. Jeter, Jr., North Augusta; sister, Teresa (Mark) Tollison, Browns Summit, NC; a nephew, Alex Tollison; a niece, Callie Tollison; stepchildren, Lillie Jayde Bradford and Blake Pennington.

  • Helen Frances Jeter

    CHAPEL HILL

    Helen Jeter Giduz died August 19, 2017, of old age eight weeks after a fall in her home in Chapel Hill. She was 91.

    She was born April 26, 1926, in Union, S.C., as the only child of the late Myrtle Tracy Jeter.

    She graduated from Union High School in 1943, and earned a degree in business at the University of South Carolina in 1946. She was a teaching assistant at USC, then earned a master's degree in business at Columbia University in New York. It was there that she met her husband, the late Roland Giduz of Chapel Hill. They were married on Christmas Day 1949, and remained true to each other until his death in 2009.
